Naturewatch
Monthly children's' nature activity club
About Naturewatch
Our monthly Naturewatch club is for accompanied children aged 4 to 11.
The aim of Naturewatch is to encourage children’s interest in nature through fun educational activities while helping to raise awareness about the natural world.
Activities include:
-
nature walks
-
plant, animal and fungi identification
-
crafts & games
-
treasure hunts

Each session has a different theme, such as birds, seasons, habitat, hibernation, etc.

Volunteers
We are currently looking for help with our education activities. We would like someone to help support our Nature Watch sessions that happen once a month on the last Sunday. We have a dedicated activity lead, who currently plans and runs the sessions, but they could do with any extra pair of hands.
Next sessions
Sessions are on the last Sunday of the month (except August and December) at Sholing Valleys Study Centre, Miller’s Pond Nature Reserve.
Each session lasts 90 minutes, from 10.30am - 12.00 noon.

Sessions are £1.50 per child, or free to members of Sholing Valleys.
Membership for the whole year costs just £6. The first session is free as a taster. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

As all our activities are volunteer-run, there may be changes depending on volunteer availability.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.
