About Wild Arts

Explore new ways to see and be with nature in this nature-based monthly art group based at Millers Pond Local Nature Reserve. Follow a different prompt each session, using playful exercises as well as looking at ways to make our own materials (inks, drawing and painting tools, cordage etc.,) from nature.

Or simply bring your own nature related project to work on alongside others.

We will go out and explore the nature reserve, and then come back to the centre to regroup, use the facilities and get a cuppa.

Informal, untaught, friendly sessions open to beginners, experts and “but I can’t draw”-ers alike. Bring your own materials if you can - only very basic resources are otherwise available.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page to see up to date activity information.

Please note that these sessions will form part of a PhD project looking at practices of ecosocial belonging in urban wild spaces. This should not affect your experience, however for more information please visit this link.

Next sessions

First Sunday of the month, 6pm - 8pm.

Free to attend. Simply come along!

Interested in coming but can’t make this day/time? Let us know - we can explore different times based on feedback.
