Do you have an interest in nature, and engaging your community? We are looking for new trustees to join our Management Committee.

You don't need to have experience of this before, we are happy to explain the role in person, or over emails.

The Management Committee of Sholing Valleys Study Centre is currently made up of 8 passionate people. We have a few basic roles. We make sure all policies and procedures are up-to-date, check that finances are solid, have the and carry out the day-to-day operations whilst ensuring our volunteers are looked after and safe..

Committee members meet once a month, on the evening of the first Wednesday for a couple of hours. At the meeting we conduct governance and operational planning of the charity. Many of the trustees also take on a more active role in the running of the charity. This includes applying for grants, running conservation volunteer days, helping to plan our Spring Fayre and other public events. If you are interested in joining our team, whether you can give a couple of hours a month or more, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to come along to any of our events, or drop us an email
